Shetland Pony Grand National
A high-speed dash, a blur of colour silks, flying manes and tails and the roar of the crowd – all the excitement of a day at the races condensed down to Shetland pony size.

Over years the Shetland Pony Grand National has produced a number of jockeys who have gone on to become professionals both an the Flat and National Hunt these were Jim Crowley, Sam and Willy Twiston-Davies, Thomas Garner, Freddy Mitchell and Joe Akehurst.
All the ponies have be registered with the Shetland Pony Stud Book and some of the ponies and jockeys take part in other disciplines such as showing, show jumping and dressage.
