Equestrian Charity Partner
British Horse Society is Equestrian Charity of the Year
The British Horse Society (BHS) is the UK’s largest equestrian charity with over 93,000 members, 1,500 volunteers and 530 BHS approved centres. We protect and promote the interests of all horses and those who care about them.
We help horses and people in many ways; from directly intervening on behalf of horses that have been deliberately hurt, to facilitating the rescue of animals. The BHS campaigns to keep bridleways open so horses can be exercised on our beautiful countryside, whilst also educating drivers to slow down when they encounter rides on the roads.
We are honoured to be nominated Equestrian Charity of the Year at the Liverpool International 2016/17. All funds received will go towards our Helping Horses appeal to support the valuable work done by our welfare team and army of over 200 volunteer welfare officers.
Our Welfare Team and volunteers work with all who care for horses to support, educate and advise, helping to ensure the welfare of the horse is not compromised.
You can support the BHS by becoming a member, donating or volunteering. For more information you can visit www.bhs.org.uk.
